Types of female dysfunction

The response of women towards sex allurement is quite different from males.sexual dysfunction in females commonly known as (FSD) which means female sexual dysfunction.This term can be defined as a problem or dilemma during intercourse which baffle individual or couple to get complete gratification from the sexual activity simply it can also define as chronic lack of interest in females during sexual activity.

These are  the main sexual dysfunctions which are found in females

Desire disorder (Low Libido):
The person suffering from this kind of disorder does not have desire for intercourse.Those persons who are affected from this disorder are not interested in having sex or have less desire for sex than you used to.There response towards sex is very diminished as compared to other individuals.

Causes of desire disorder:
Following are the causes of desire disorder .There are some psychological Causes and some physical

Psychological Causes are :
  • Depression
  • Stress or Fatigue
  • Childhood experience of assault, sexual abuse, trauma, or neglect
  • Body image issues
  • Loss of intimacy with partner
  • Anxiety about sexual performance
These are Physical Causes:
  • Endocrine illnesses (The endocrine glands are maintaining hormones essential for well-being. Conditions such as diabetes, hypothyroidism, and hyperprolactinaemia causes hormonal imbalance which causes to desire disorder
  • Low testosterone levels (this is male hormone but also produced in women by adrenal gland.Testosterone plays a role in building sex drive. Alcholism is main factor which reduce secretion of testosterone in women.
  • Body weight (underweight women are also suffers from low libido)
  • Anemia
Arousal disorders:
This disorder is also known as FSAD (Female Sexual Arousal Disorder ).In this condition woman is continually unable to attain or maintain arousal and lubrication during intercourse, is unable to reach orgasm, or has no desire for sexual intercourse.Three-fourths of women with FSAD are postmenopausal.It is also called "frigidity."

Causes of arousal disorders

  • Emotional stress
  • Past sexual abuse
  • Bereavement
  • Emotional abuse
  • Self-image problems
  • Relationship problems with partner
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder
Orgasmic disorders:
This disorder is also known as FOD (Female orgasmic disorder ).Those persons who are suffering from this fail to achieve orgasm during intercourse.This can be defined as Failure of a female to achieve an orgasm (climax) during sexual intercourse.

Causes of orgasmic disorder:
Following are the causes of orgasmic disorder
  • Side effects of medications (antipsychotics, antidepressants, narcotics) or illicit substance abuse
  • Damage to the blood vessels of the pelvic region
  • Spinal cord lesions or damage to the nerves in the pelvic area
  • Removal of the clitoris (also called female genital mutilation, a cultural practice in parts of Africa, the Middle East, and Asia)
  • Fear of becoming pregnant
  • Fear of rejection by partner
  • Fear of loss of control during orgasm
  • Guilt about sex or sexual pleasure
  • Religious or cultural beliefs about sex
  • Other mental health disorders such as major depression
Sexual pain disorders:
In this condition female is suffering from pain during intercourse.this condition is also known as dyspareunia (painful intercourse) and vaginismus (an involuntary spasm of the muscles of the vaginal wall that interferes with intercourse)

Causes of sexual  pain disorders

  • Vaginal dryness
  • Small vagina
  • Vaginal infection
  • Vaginal infection
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Birth trauma to perineum
  • Episiotomy scar
