Dr. Sergio Canavero has published his article in medical journal "Surgical Neurology International" with scientific details about head transplant. If this happens, it would be a real medical miracle. One person would be able to get the body of another and start a whole new life.
Head transplant is most complicated combining all medical researches. Dr. Sergio outlined procedure to adopt a healthy body for existing head. He is member of Turin Advanced Neuromodulation in Italy.
Canavero says that donor and receiver both will be kept under coma state. They will give more time to head and body cells to remain alive without oxygen for some lengthy time.
First major blood vessels would be joined using small tubes. Next is connection of main organ - spinal cord. It required very fine cutting and will be linked with head using chemical compound polyethylene glycol. Main reason to use this compound is that it allows fats to build together without interruption and be more natural.
