Breast Cancer Treatment with Yoga

Any allegation of yoga and the specific disorders are subject to medical and scientific studies. It is not enough to know who is working on therapeutic yoga. Again, the benefits of yoga on the recovery of cancer are thoroughly investigated, but this time two teams from East and West working together.

Clinical trials at MD Anderson - with the help of Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhan samsthdna (Vyasa), a research foundation of therapeutic yoga and the University of Bangalore, India, and known in India - used a combination of asanas, breathing techniques, meditation and other relaxation methods to create a regime.

The results included better physical health, better performance and greater acceptance of experience with breast cancer. While practicing yoga, obviously, makes the breast cancer patients feel better, another study showed that the results can last up to 12 weeks after the end of the exercise program.

There are several ways those patients the benefits of yoga for breast cancer:

Although restorative yoga - a gentle yoga that relaxes the whole body - is often chosen, many styles of Hatha be therapeutically modified to help women during or after treatment. In 2010, researchers tested the results at Rochester University Medical Center of certain types of yoga techniques for breast cancer. These include mild forms of sitting, standing, lying, and temporary positions, as well as meditation and visualization. While these are effective, doctors advise against the yoga exercises is strict or in heated rooms.
